How does this solar hot water system work?
- The sun's rays fall on the collector and are converted into heat.
- The solar controller regulates the flow of heat to the heat exchanger in the water tank.
- The pump in the solar unit pumps the solar heated water to the tank.
- The heated water is stored in the water tank to be used for showers, baths, washing machines, dishwashers etc.
- A backup heater is used to support the system and ensure the supply of hot water during a period of poor weather.

SUNcompact® Solar Hot Water and Biomass Heating System
This combined Solar Hot Water and Central Biomass Heating. The system offers all advantages of utilising solar energy. This is the most economical way of reducing your hot water and heating energy costs. Why is this? Heating makes about 50% and Hot Water about 10% of your annual energy bill. As you can see, by supplementing energy for those essentials you will achieve a big saving and help to reduce carbon emissions.
Our latest SUNcompact® Twist and SUNcompact® Cosy combines SUNexclusive® Plus and our latest Pellet Stoves with water heat exchanger. The Pellet Stoves are directly connected to the water circuit of the specially designed water tank. The Pellet Stove is therefore used as Fireplace, Central Heating top up and hot water generator combined with our latest powerful Solar CC-A/F blues series cell! This has set new standards and is now the lead technology for many years coming.
The burning process of the pellets are carbon dioxide neutral, as the fire will set as much carbon free as the tree has produced during his growing process!
This is also a closed loop system - which means there is no risk of legionary, with added anti-freeze and corrosion protection! This system is complete maintenance free!

How does this solar hot water and biomass heating system work?
- The sun's rays fall on the collector and will be converted into heat.
- The solar controller regulates the heat flow of the collectors and pellet stove to the heat exchanger in the hot water tank.
- The solar station controls the pump which supplies the hot water to the heat exchanger.
- The heated water is stored in the fresh water compartment of the tank and can be used for showers, baths, washing machines, etc.
- The pellet stove has is used to support the hot water system and to heat the room like a conventional fireplace. The burning process of the wood pellets are carbon dioxide neutral, as the fire will set as much carbon free as the tree has produced during his growing process! This is why the government has offered an energy grant for Biomass heating systems!
This system will allow you to apply for 2 energy grants. The first grant will be for the solar powered hot water system and the second grant for the installation of a biomass heating! This makes this system the best solution for all domestic homes!

All SUNcompact® systems come with a complete installation instruction and can be DIY installed or SunPower Technologies will take care of the installation, using one of our installation partner in your area.
